Preparing Families for a Baby Friendly Experience

We are excited to announce a FREE one-day workshop for WIC staff, prenatal providers, and community health care members to learn how to prepare moms during the prenatal period for Baby-Friendly™ practices. The workshop will be held on Monday, May 9th from 8:30am-4:00pm (lunch will be provided) at Mississippi Valley State University.

Breastfeeding Clinical Skills Training

We are excited to announce that AI/AN CHAMPS consultant Camie Goldhammer will be teaching her 4 hour Clinical Skills Training at the Navajo Nation Breastfeeding Coalition event "Breastfeeding Across the Generations" on Wednesday, May 11 from 8:30am-12:30pm. This course is designed to cover the hands on-clinical training required by Baby-Friendly USA™. Taught by Camie Goldhammer, this course will cover basic culturally relevant clinical skills around breastfeeding, hand expression, skin-to-skin, and safe formula preparation.

We are excited to announce that South Sunflower County Hospital will be holding Breastfeeding Club meetings beginning Saturday, May 21, 2016! The Breastfeeding Club meetings will be held every 3rd Saturday from 11am - 2pm at the South Sunflower Hospital (121 E Baker St, Indianola, MS 38751).
